Ahsan Mir is an artist and physician whose work has focused on portraiture, figure drawing, and anatomy. He attempts to infuse his work with insights from his daily practice in medicine. He has recently started experimenting with graphic design and hopes to bring previously analog works into the digital realm. Visit the portfolio page for past and current projects.

He also regularly contributes to Mir Blogs which is a blog started in partnership with his twin brother who currently resides in Pakistan 🇵🇰. Ahsan’s posts focus on art, medicine, fitness, self-improvement, and global health.

Ahsan grew up in South Florida going to college at the University of Miami 🙌. His medical degree is from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. He met his wife during his time training in Detroit.

He served in the US 🇺🇸 Army as a Captain working as the Brigade Surgeon (or General Medical Officer) for the 18th Field Artillery Brigade stationed at Fort Liberty, NC from 2020-2024. He is currently completing an Emergency Medicine Residency and lives happily with his wife, who is a practicing OB/Gyn, and their dog Archimedes (Archie) back home in Michigan.
